24/7 Youth Film Festival

 

The Rules of 24/7 2009

 

         All films must be made in the 24-hour period between 2pm on the 29/8/09 and 2pm on the 30/8/09.

         All films must be no more than 7 minutes in length.

         All films must incorporate into their film at least 5 of the items detailed on the official list of 12 items, including at least 1 from each category.

         All participants must be no older than 24 years and no younger than 12 years at the time of competition.

         All teams must have between 1 and 12 members. Only entered team members can be directly involved in the making of your film.

         Films must be handed in on Mini DV tape ONLY!

         All participants must agree to and sign a 24/7 Youth Film Festival Indemnity Form

         All participants must adhere to the instruction of 24/7 Staff, Supervisors and Volunteers.

         All films must be viewable by a public audience (rating of M or less - for details contact the Australian Bureau of Classification).

         Any film teams partaking in unlawful or anti-social behaviour (including ‘jackass’ style filmmaking) in or around the 24-hour period will be immediately disqualified – including the use of real or home-made guns.

         The only music films can contain must either be taken from the 24/7 CD library (available throughout the event) or be music that the film team holds the copyright for.

         The filmmakers must have the permission of all actors/extras featuring in any film.

         By entering a film in 24/7 you are giving permission for your work to feature in any way, shape or form, as part of any 24/7 related event.

         Films are permitted to use superimposed text.
